Dallas School District Fires 375 Teachers

In a sign of the times, the Dallas Morning News reports that a Dallas, TX area school district has fired 375 teachers in an effort to avoid a $84 million budget shortfall. The economic crisis is hitting all areas of our economy, and school districts are obviously struggling to to remain adequately staffed.

Let's bail Wall Street out and keep sending $10,000,000,000.00 billion dollars to Iraq every month, while the Iraqi's have a $70,000,000,000.00 billion dollar oil surplus, as a matter of fact lets shut down all the schools nationwide, we might need the money for more bankers vacations that cost $400,000.00 of taxpayer dollars. On November 4th vote for someone else other than the person in Congress now, they have really sold us out.

How can the U.S. leadership have the priorities so out of wack? To run the deficit through the roof while cutting back on education is a recipe for disaster. The American leadership is making even "tin pot" dictatorships look good...well at least the mobile home industry has a bright future! How much is that war in Iraq costing each and every month?..maybe you should be sending the Wall Street crowd there too!
