Investigation Rules Pool Discriminated Against Campers!

A Pennsylvania investigation has ruled that a Montgomery County swim club discriminated against suburban Philadelphia campers in June after not allowing the campers to use the pool area after the first visit. The wording from the investigation is listed below:

"The racial animus . . . and the racially-coded comments" by club members at the Valley Club in Huntingdon Valley were the reasons the club revoked Creative Steps Inc.'s contract, according to a 33-page report by the Human Relations Commission and released tonight by an attorney who represents four of the campers.

The camp members reported hearing racial slurs during the first visit to the club, which has not had any minority members in 2 years according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. The club also faces penalties into the millions of dollars due to complaints that have been filed, which could potentially shut it down.
